Anamnesis 


the sea such as it is or was bluffs itself against this old brain remembers itself there conjoins with everything it once knew surfs its salted notions onto distant sands recalls the day it was born recoils at the approaching torrent refuses to hear the distant thunder cascades its way to a place that resembles daybreak apologizes for nothing speaks in chants that nestle their way into speech that only the natives and my neighbors understand
