They say I’m cursed, I smile,
“Best job in the world!”
Rolling rote movements
leave me lots of time to think,
to calculate velocity, and muse
on the redemptive nature of sweat.
The sublime apex view beguiles,
the speed of descent,
a roller-coaster ride.
The rock rolls faster down;
the chase, a perfect
aerobic exercise.
I could do this forever.
