Old Light

But it wasn’t the solstice. It was
the equinox instead. The lengths equal:

audience of one. Call me Florida:
my rocketship legs are my only way

out. Call me, Florida:
I got young with you, and then

I got old with you. Would you like me
to beg some more, darling? You spin

away in sleep. We spin together
somehow, sleepless.
